Job Summary: We are looking for a talented Desktop Publishing (DTP) Operator to prepare and format digital files for print production. The DTP Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of printed materials by correctly formatting and arranging text, images, and graphics according to client specifications and printing standards. Responsibilities: Receive digital files, text documents, images, and graphics from clients or designers. Use desktop publishing software, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, to format and arrange content for print production. Create and edit layouts, designs, and templates for various printed materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, newsletters, and books. Adjust text size, font, spacing, and alignment to ensure readability and visual appeal. Place and manipulate images, illustrations, and graphics within layouts, ensuring proper resolution and color accuracy. Proofread and verify content for spelling, grammar, and accuracy before finalizing layouts. Prepare files for printing, including setting up bleeds, trim marks, and color profiles according to printing specifications. Collaborate with graphic designers, editors, and clients to understand project requirements and make necessary revisions. Maintain organized files and documentation of digital assets and project materials. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to file formats, compatibility, and printing errors. Requirements: Proven experience as a DTP Operator or Graphic Designer with expertise in desktop publishing software. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with advanced skills in layout design and file preparation for print. Strong understanding of typography, layout principles, and print production processes. Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and quality in finished designs. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Knowledge of pre-press and printing terminology, techniques, and standards. Familiarity with PDF workflows and digital file formats for print production. Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred but not required. Fluency in Malayalam and English; additional languages are a plus.
