Boil water and steep tea leaves or tea bags in hot water for the appropriate amount of time to achieve optimal flavor and strength. Add milk, sugar, honey, or other flavorings to tea as requested by guests, ensuring that beverages are prepared to their specifications. Strain tea leaves or remove tea bags from cups or teapots before serving, to prevent oversteeping or bitterness. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the tea preparation area, including teapots, cups, saucers, and utensils. Assist in maintaining inventory levels of tea leaves, tea bags, milk, sugar, and other tea-related supplies, and communicate with management to ensure timely replenishment. Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations and guidelines, including proper handling of tea leaves, milk, and other ingredients. Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about tea options. Prepare and serve additional beverages, such as coffee, hot chocolate, or specialty drinks, as requested by guests. Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of beverage orders. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Tea Maker, Barista, or similar role, preferably in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting. Knowledge of different types of tea, brewing methods, and flavor profiles. Ability to prepare tea to various strengths and flavor preferences, including adjusting brewing times and ingredient ratios. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact warmly and professionally with guests. Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Formal training or certification in tea preparation or hospitality is a plus.
