As an Ayurveda Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing traditional Ayurvedic treatments and therapies to clients in Kochi. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, administering therapeutic treatments, and advising clients on wellness practices. This position requires a deep understanding of Ayurvedic principles, techniques, and treatments, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: Client Consultation: Conduct initial consultations with clients to assess their health concerns, medical history, and wellness goals. Gather information on clients' physical, mental, and emotional well-being to customize treatment plans accordingly. Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications, diet, and daily routines based on Ayurvedic principles. Therapeutic Treatments: Administer a variety of Ayurvedic treatments and therapies, such as Abhyanga (oil massage), Shirodhara (oil pouring), Panchakarma (detoxification), and herbal steam baths. Perform therapeutic massages, including Marma massage, Udwarthanam (herbal powder massage), and Pizhichil (oil bath). Prepare herbal oils, pastes, and decoctions for use in treatments, ensuring quality and efficacy. Client Care and Support: Create a comfortable and welcoming environment for clients undergoing Ayurvedic treatments. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to address their evolving health needs. Educate clients on the benefits of Ayurveda, including its holistic approach to health and well-being. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Document details of Ayurvedic treatments administered, including techniques used, duration, and outcomes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in client care and record keeping. Hygiene and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in treatment rooms, equipment, and herbal preparations. Follow standard operating procedures for sanitation, sterilization, and disposal of used materials. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks and ensure the well-being of clients and staff. Requirements: Certification or diploma in Ayurveda Therapy from a recognized institution. Previous experience working as an Ayurveda Therapist in a spa, wellness center, or Ayurvedic clinic preferred. In-depth knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, concepts, and therapeutic techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and provide compassionate care. Physical stamina and manual dexterity for performing massage and therapeutic techniques. Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in promoting holistic health and wellness. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and first aid may be required. Fluency in local languages such as Malayalam and proficiency in English is beneficial for communicating with clients.
