As a Waiter, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences to guests at our establishment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that guests have a memorable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, anticipating their needs, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet guests warmly as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and present menus. Provide recommendations on food and beverage options, based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions. Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly relay them to the kitchen staff. Check in with guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests. Order Fulfillment: Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately according to established service standards. Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders to guests' tables. Monitor tableware, glassware, and utensils to ensure cleanliness and replace items as needed. Table Maintenance: Set up tables with appropriate tableware, linens, and decorations before guests arrive. Clear tables efficiently after guests finish their meals and reset them for the next diners. Ensure that the dining area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Payment Processing: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately, and return change promptly. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and electronic payments securely and in accordance with company policies. Provide receipts and thank guests for their patronage as they leave. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and other restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive work environment and provide support as needed. Assist in other tasks, such as preparing mise en place, stocking supplies, and cleaning work areas, as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements: Prior experience as a waiter or in a similar customer service role in the hospitality industry preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, including proper table settings, serving techniques, and wine etiquette. Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required. Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
