Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, and water systems. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or replacements as needed to minimize downtime. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment. Building Maintenance: Inspect and maintain building structures, surfaces, and finishes, including walls, floors, ceilings, and exterior facades. Repair or replace damaged or worn-out building components such as doors, windows, locks, and fixtures. Perform painting, patching, and caulking to maintain the appearance and integrity of building surfaces. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures. Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards or risks, taking corrective action to address issues promptly. Maintain records and documentation related to safety inspections, equipment maintenance, and repairs. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact on operations. Diagnose problems and malfunctions in equipment and systems, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality. Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized repairs or services as needed. Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage. Requisition supplies and materials as needed for maintenance tasks and projects, following established procedures and guidelines. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team, as well as with other departments such as housekeeping, engineering, and facilities management. Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and management, providing updates on maintenance activities and coordinating work schedules. Requirements: Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a commercial or hospitality setting. Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems maintenance. Knowledge of safety regulations and standards, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Ability to troubleshoot problems, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
