The Shawarma Maker will be responsible for preparing and serving delicious shawarma dishes to customers, ensuring high quality and consistency. Responsibilities: Shawarma Preparation: Prepare marinated meat (typically chicken, beef, or lamb) for shawarma, ensuring proper seasoning and flavor infusion. Load meat onto the vertical rotisserie grill and cook it evenly until tender and juicy. Slice cooked meat thinly using a shawarma knife or electric slicer, ensuring uniform thickness and texture. Sandwich Assembly: Assemble shawarma sandwiches or wraps by layering sliced meat, vegetables, sauces, and condiments onto pita bread, lavash, or flatbread. Customize orders based on customer preferences, accommodating special requests and dietary restrictions as needed. Food Presentation: Present shawarma dishes attractively on plates or in takeaway containers, garnishing with fresh herbs, pickles, or additional toppings as desired. Ensure that each dish meets quality and presentation standards before serving it to customers. Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and take their orders for shawarma and other menu items. Provide recommendations and suggestions to customers based on their preferences and taste preferences. Ensure prompt and courteous service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Hygiene and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shawarma preparation area, including work surfaces, equipment, and utensils. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of ingredients, and regular cleaning and sanitizing of equipment. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, supplies, and packaging materials, and replenish as needed. Keep track of product expiration dates and rotate stock to minimize waste. Requirements: Previous experience in shawarma preparation or a similar role in a restaurant, food truck, or catering establishment is preferred. Strong culinary skills, with knowledge of Middle Eastern cuisine and cooking techniques. Ability to operate and maintain shawarma equipment, including vertical rotisserie grills and electric slicers. Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
