Brew tea using appropriate brewing methods and techniques, ensuring proper temperature, steeping time, and tea-to-water ratio for optimal flavor and aroma. Use high-quality tea leaves, herbs, spices, and other ingredients to create flavorful and aromatic tea blends, following recipes and guidelines provided. Customize tea orders based on customer preferences, such as adjusting sweetness, milk content, and flavorings according to individual tastes. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the tea preparation area, including tea pots, tea cups, utensils, and brewing equipment, to ensure hygiene and sanitation. Monitor inventory levels of tea leaves, milk, sugar, flavorings, and other supplies, and communicate shortages or replenishment needs to the supervisor or manager. Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders, answering questions, and providing recommendations on tea selections and pairings. Process payments accurately, handle cash transactions, and reconcile receipts at the end of each shift, following cash handling procedures. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards when handling and preparing tea beverages, ensuring compliance with sanitation protocols. Collaborate with other staff members and departments to ensure efficient operations and provide excellent customer service. Requirements: No formal education requirements; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a Tea Maker, Barista, or in a similar role in a café, tea shop, or hospitality establishment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of different types of tea, brewing methods, and flavor profiles, with a passion for tea culture and appreciation for quality teas. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tea orders to meet customer demand. Strong attention to detail and a focus on consistency, flavor, and presentation in preparing tea beverages. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs. Positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for providing exceptional hospitality and customer experiences. Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift and carry objects associated with tea preparation and service.
