We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Banking Incharge in our hotel located in Trivandrum. The Banking Incharge will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, cash handling procedures, and banking activities within the hotel. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records. Responsibilities: Manage the daily financial operations of the hotel, including handling cash, processing payments, and reconciling receipts. Oversee the front desk cashiers and other staff involved in cash handling to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures. Receive and process payments from guests for room charges, food and beverage purchases, and other hotel services. Verify the accuracy of cash and credit card transactions, ensuring that all payments are recorded correctly in the hotel's system. Prepare daily cash reports, balance sheets, and other financial documents for submission to management and accounting departments. Monitor cash flow and maintain adequate levels of petty cash for daily expenses and incidental purchases. Prepare bank deposits and arrange for the secure transfer of funds to the designated bank accounts. Reconcile bank statements and investigate any discrepancies or errors in financial records. Assist with the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses to track financial performance. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including tax laws, banking regulations, and internal control policies. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry or banking sector. Strong numerical aptitude and proficiency in financial calculations and analysis. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records. Proficiency in using accounting software and computerized systems for financial management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and external partners. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of banking procedures, cash handling protocols, and financial regulations. Familiarity with hotel management systems or property management systems (PMS) is preferred. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
