We are looking for a skilled and experienced Shawarma Maker to join our team in Ponnani. The Shawarma Maker will be responsible for preparing and assembling delicious shawarma sandwiches and plates in accordance with our recipes and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, culinary expertise, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Preparation and Assembly: Prepare shawarma meat (chicken, beef, or lamb) by marinating, seasoning, and stacking it on a vertical rotisserie. Operate the shawarma machine to cook the meat evenly and slice it thinly for serving. Assemble shawarma sandwiches or plates with meat, vegetables, sauces, and condiments according to customer preferences. Recipe Adherence: Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency in flavor, appearance, and quality of shawarma products. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to prevent overcooking or undercooking of meat. Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of ingredients, utensils, and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including countertops, cutting boards, and kitchen equipment. Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately and efficiently. Provide recommendations and suggestions to customers based on their preferences and dietary restrictions. Order Fulfillment: Prepare shawarma orders promptly and ensure timely delivery to customers. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately using a cash register or POS system. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of shawarma ingredients, including meat, vegetables, bread, and sauces. Notify management when supplies are running low and assist with inventory replenishment. Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly to maintain cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
