We are seeking a skilled Laptop Technician to join our team in Vadakara. The Laptop Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining laptops and other computer devices. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our customers. Key Responsibilities: Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Perform diagnostic tests to identify hardware and software issues with laptops, including boot failures, connectivity problems, and system errors. Use diagnostic tools and software utilities to analyze laptop performance and identify root causes of malfunctions. Hardware Repair and Replacement: Disassemble laptops to access internal components and conduct repairs or replacements as needed. Repair or replace faulty hardware components, such as motherboards, processors, memory modules, hard drives, and keyboards. Perform soldering, desoldering, and reballing tasks to repair circuit board components. Software Installation and Configuration: Install, update, and configure operating systems, drivers, and software applications on laptops. Troubleshoot software issues, remove malware, and resolve compatibility conflicts to restore laptop functionality. Data Recovery and Backup: Retrieve data from damaged or corrupted hard drives using specialized data recovery tools and techniques. Transfer data between laptops and external storage devices to safeguard important files and documents. Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing updates on repair progress and explaining repair options and costs. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and technical questions related to laptop repair and maintenance. Quality Control and Testing: Conduct quality control checks and functional tests to ensure repaired laptops meet performance and reliability standards. Perform final inspections and system checks before returning laptops to customers. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of laptop parts, components, and accessories. Order replacement parts and supplies as needed to replenish stock and meet repair demands. Qualifications: Diploma or certification in Computer Hardware Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Laptop Technician, Computer Repair Technician, or similar role. Strong technical skills and knowledge of laptop hardware, components, and architecture. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software utilities, and repair equipment for troubleshooting and repairs. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in diagnosing and resolving laptop issues. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers. Customer service orientation and commitment to delivering high-quality service and support. Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling delicate components and performing intricate repairs.
