Distribution Manager Job Opening in Thrissur

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organized Distribution Manager to oversee our distribution operations in Thrissur. The Distribution Manager will be responsible for managing the distribution of products, coordinating with suppliers and retailers, and optimizing the distribution network for efficiency and effectiveness. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a focus on operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement distribution strategies, plans, and policies to optimize the distribution network and achieve company objectives. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including receiving, warehousing, picking, packing, and shipping of products. Ensure accurate and timely distribution of products to customers, retailers, and other stakeholders while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency. Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of products and materials to the distribution center. Manage inventory levels and stock levels at the distribution center, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rates, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and distribution costs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, retailers, and other partners to ensure smooth coordination and collaboration across the distribution network. Lead, mentor, and supervise distribution center staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and morale. Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for distribution center employees. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in distribution management to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field. (Master’s degree preferred) Proven experience (X years) in distribution management, logistics, or supply chain management, with a track record of success in optimizing distribution operations. Strong understanding of distribution processes, logistics principles, and supply chain management concepts. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of employees. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop effective distribution strategies and overcome operational challenges. Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve distribution efficiency and effectiveness. Proficiency in using distribution management software and systems for inventory control, order processing, and warehouse management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in distribution operations. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced distribution environment.
