We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automobile Engineer to join our team in Trivandrum. The Automobile Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining automotive systems and components. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop automotive systems, components, and parts using computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering principles. Conduct research and analysis to identify design requirements, specifications, and performance criteria for new products or modifications to existing products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and production technicians to integrate components and systems into vehicle designs. Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and tests to evaluate the performance, safety, and reliability of automotive systems and components. Create prototypes and conduct prototype testing to validate design concepts, identify potential issues, and optimize performance. Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and problem-solving activities to address technical challenges and improve product quality. Interpret and apply regulatory standards, industry guidelines, and customer requirements to ensure compliance with safety, emissions, and performance standards. Support manufacturing and production processes by providing engineering expertise, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing design improvements. Maintain accurate documentation of design specifications, test results, and engineering changes throughout the product development lifecycle. Stay up-to-date with advancements in automotive technology, emerging trends, and best practices in engineering to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. (Master's degree preferred) Proven experience (X years) working as an automobile engineer, with a focus on design and development of automotive systems. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA. Strong understanding of engineering principles, mechanics, and materials science as applied to automotive design and manufacturing. Experience with engineering analysis tools such as finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to apply analytical thinking to complex engineering challenges. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality in engineering work.
