Tyre Fitter Job Opening in Palakkad

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tyre Fitter to join our team in Palakkad. The Tyre Fitter will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on various vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Inspect and assess the condition of tyres on customer vehicles to determine if repair or replacement is necessary. Remove and fit tyres on vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Balance and align tyres to ensure proper tread wear and vehicle performance. Repair punctures, cuts, and other damage to tyres using patching or plug methods. Rotate tyres on vehicles to promote even wear and extend tyre life. Perform wheel alignments using alignment equipment and make necessary adjustments to suspension components. Inflate tyres to the correct pressure and inspect valve stems for leaks or damage. Assist customers in selecting appropriate tyres for their vehicles based on size, type, and driving conditions. Provide recommendations for tyre maintenance and educate customers on proper tyre care and safety practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tyre fitting area, including tools, equipment, and inventory. Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. Keep accurate records of tyre fittings, repairs, and inventory using computerized systems or manual logs. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical education or certification in automotive mechanics or tyre fitting is preferred. Proven experience (X years) working as a tyre fitter or in a similar role, preferably in an automotive service center or tyre shop. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tyre fitting techniques, equipment, and procedures. Familiarity with tyre brands, sizes, and specifications. Ability to use tyre fitting tools and equipment such as tyre changers, balancers, and alignment machines. Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tyre fittings and repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers. Physical stamina and dexterity to lift heavy tyres, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
