Remove old treads and worn-out rubber from tyre casings using tyre buffing machines, rotary rasps, and other retreading equipment, ensuring thorough cleaning and preparation of tyre surfaces. Apply new tread rubber to tyre casings using hot and cold retreading processes, including precure and mold cure methods, following manufacturer specifications and retreading guidelines. Use bonding agents, adhesives, and curing presses to securely bond new tread rubber to tyre casings, ensuring proper adhesion and sealing to prevent tread separation or delamination. Trim and shape retreaded treads to match original tyre profiles, tread patterns, and dimensions, using tread cutting machines, hand tools, and precision instruments for accuracy. Inspect finished retreaded tyres for quality and consistency, including tread pattern alignment, sidewall appearance, and overall tread surface finish, and make any necessary corrections or adjustments. Perform final inspections and quality control checks on retreaded tyres, including inflation pressure tests, visual inspections, and tread depth measurements, to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards. Repair minor tyre defects, such as nail punctures, sidewall cuts, and tread separations, using patching materials, vulcanizing equipment, and other tyre repair techniques as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retreading workshop, equipment, and tools, including buffing machines, tread builders, curing chambers, and repair stations, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots, and following safe handling and disposal practices for retreading chemicals and materials.
