We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Medical Coding Faculty member to join our team. The Medical Coding Faculty will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and instruction to students enrolled in our medical coding courses. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver comprehensive training modules and curriculum for medical coding certification programs, covering topics such as ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding guidelines. Conduct classroom lectures, presentations, and hands-on training sessions to educate students on medical coding principles, techniques, and best practices, using a variety of teaching methods and instructional materials. Create and administer assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate students' understanding and proficiency in medical coding concepts, and provide constructive feedback and guidance for improvement. Provide individualized support and mentoring to students, assisting with comprehension of course material, resolving queries, and addressing challenges in medical coding practice and application. Demonstrate coding procedures and software applications, such as encoders and electronic health record (EHR) systems, and guide students in practicing coding exercises and assignments to enhance coding accuracy and efficiency. Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and coding updates, including changes to coding guidelines, reimbursement policies, and compliance requirements, and incorporate relevant updates into training curriculum. Collaborate with program coordinators, academic advisors, and career services staff to support student success, retention, and placement, and participate in student recruitment and orientation activities as needed. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress, using learning management systems (LMS) and student databases, and submit timely reports to management. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and continuing education programs to enhance teaching skills, stay abreast of new teaching methodologies, and contribute to curriculum development initiatives. Uphold academic integrity, ethical standards, and institutional policies in all aspects of teaching and student interaction, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health information management, or a related field required. Additional certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) preferred. Minimum of [insert number of years] years of experience working as a medical coder in a healthcare setting, with proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding systems, and coding software applications. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records and documentation. Fluency in local language (Malayalam) and English required. Additional language skills in Hindi or other regional languages preferred.
