We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Automobile AC Technician to join our team. The Automobile AC Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining air conditioning systems in vehicles. Responsibilities: Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot air conditioning systems in automobiles, including cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles, to identify faults, leaks, and malfunctions. Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and recharge procedures, using specialized equipment and tools, to ensure proper handling and disposal of refrigerants and compliance with safety regulations. Test and diagnose electrical and mechanical components of AC systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and blower motors, using diagnostic tools, gauges, and meters. Repair or replace defective components of AC systems, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, hoses, seals, O-rings, and valves, following manufacturer specifications and repair procedures. Flush and clean AC system components, including evaporator coils, condenser coils, and refrigerant lines, to remove contaminants, debris, and moisture, and improve system performance. Perform leak detection and repair procedures, using leak detection tools, dye injections, and pressure tests, to identify and seal leaks in AC system components. Test AC system performance, including cooling capacity, temperature control, and airflow, and make adjustments to thermostats, pressure switches, and refrigerant levels to optimize performance and efficiency. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as replacing cabin air filters, inspecting drive belts, and lubricating moving parts, to ensure reliability and longevity of AC systems. Document all work performed, including diagnosis findings, repair procedures, parts used, and labor hours, using service reports, work orders, and digital tracking systems. Provide technical support and assistance to customers, explaining AC system repairs, maintenance recommendations, and warranty coverage, and answering inquiries related to AC system operation and performance. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in automotive air conditioning systems, attending training sessions, workshops, and certification programs as needed to enhance skills and knowledge. Technical certification or diploma in automotive technology, HVAC/R technology, or a related field preferred.
