We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Inverter Technician to join our team. The Inverter Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing inverters, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, and battery backup systems. Responsibilities: Install, commission, and configure inverters, UPS systems, and battery backup systems for residential and commercial customers, ensuring proper wiring, connections, and functionality. Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine power requirements, load capacities, and placement of inverters and battery backup systems, and provide recommendations to customers. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults and issues in inverters and UPS systems, including battery failures, charging problems, overload conditions, and electrical faults. Test and calibrate inverters and UPS systems for proper operation, voltage regulation, frequency stability, and battery charging/discharging performance. Replace defective components, such as batteries, capacitors, fuses, relays, and circuit boards, and perform firmware updates and software upgrades as needed to resolve issues and enhance functionality. Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning contacts, tightening connections, and checking fluid levels, to ensure reliability and longevity of inverters and UPS systems. Conduct load tests and system checks to verify the integrity and capacity of inverters and battery backup systems, and provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed. Educate customers on proper usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures for inverters and UPS systems, providing user manuals, guides, and support resources as needed. Maintain accurate records of service calls, work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job, using service reports, work orders, and digital tracking systems. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in power electronics, attending training sessions, workshops, and certification programs as needed to enhance skills and knowledge. Collaborate with sales teams, project managers, and support staff to coordinate installations, service calls, and warranty repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention. Uphold company values, policies, and ethical standards in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or diploma in electrical/electronic engineering or a related field preferred. Proven experience as an Inverter Technician, UPS Technician, or Electrical Technician, with a minimum of [insert number of years] years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power electronics, and inverter/UPS technology, including AC/DC circuits, voltage regulation, and battery management. Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems, diagnosing faults, and performing repairs/replacements of components, such as inverters, rectifiers, inverters, batteries, and control boards.
